Yeah the foam kept falling off from around my forehead. Either the glue could nt handle the cold or my ski (I can only guess).
Also I could not believe how soft the lenses were. Used Alpina climbing goggles for a few years. Now they were tough with their ceramic lenses. They eventually gave up the ghost and the elastic went on them (about 10yrs of hard use). Now I am Smiths all the way. 8) |

Yeah tried there too. No luck. Braemar Mountain Sport never stocked Naxo.
Also have tried - Mountain Tracks - Backcountry - Face West - Ski Equipment - Mountain Spirit Anyone know anywhere in France or Switzerland that may stock them? |

Thanks. Tried them the other day. They dropped Naxo a couple of years ago and do not have any old stock. Bummer

You could always replace the warm ear covers with Tunes so you can play music. That's what I have on my one.
Remember that if you have a decent fall you will need to replace te helmet. So for transport you should put it in a helmet case - who does that? I have seen a few around. I myself put mine in my backpack and take on as hand luggage. Do not attach to the outside of your handluggage as it will get dammaged. Also remember helmets have a life and sould be replaced after a few yesrs. Depending who you talk to depends how long. I usually keep mine for a couple of bad falls and about four years. And another one is many resorts are making it manditory for their staff and kids in lessons to wear helmets. I find that with mine I keep the vents open down to about -35degC. I often use a neck warmer because of the gap between the helmet and my collar. Others use a thin balaclava. This way you can cover your face too and realy wrap up. This way you cannot be ided. Tried Oakley goggles for a few years but found they disintergrated after about 2 days and fogged up badly. Had them replaced five times by Oakley before I gave up. Went to Smith glasses for yeasr but now have gone for the Smith IO. Man they are the dogs... Fantastic with or without a helmet. Easy change lenses too.
Liked them so much got the wife a pair too and believe it or not they improved her skiing. She can see the snow now. Worth every penny |

Does anyone out there know where I can get some 100mm Naxo Crampons for NX21 bindings?
I have been skiing on NX21 for about 4 years or so now (since the NX21 first came out). Great bindings that have seen me through some great epic days. For a while now I have been meaning to get the binding crampons. Planning on a 7 day ski tour in March 2010 and need crampons. Does anyone know where (anywhere in the world) I can get some from either new or second hand? Thanks 8) |

Is there anyone out there keen to do weekend skiing? Each year I end up doing solo skiing for weekends, flying out from London on Fri after work and back on Sun night. This way I get two full days skiing and ski touring without taking time off work. This works well for contractors or those that can't take time off work. I am wanting someone to share the costs and skiing with. I am currently planning about three weekends in Germany and two or three in France. Please let me know if your are interested. :P |
