Well, open to the floor…..
Wouldn't it be nice if someone out there was organising a big group trip, to take advantage of the reduced cost of booking a whole big chalet? Has anyone on here done it? Coordinated lots of little unrelated groups? Or is it a CRAZY idea? Is anyone already putting the wheels in motion? I've got a little group of four who could be interested in partaking, say in January next year…….. |

Hi all...
I know it's a mile off yet, but I thought it would be a good idea to get next years trip planning underway.... We haven't done Catered as yet, but maybe next year it'll be time....what sort of prices are we looking at for a package including flights? We always go for the cheapest weeks in January, and usually manage a good ski-in ski-out self catered all in for about £800 each including flights, car hire, ski hire, lift pass and food and drink for a week in the 3V....can we beat that going Catered? |

Sorry if it sounded like I was tarring everyone with the same brush...just sharing my own experience. I have no doubt that others have had far better experiences, even in Bardo....I for one, however, will not be going back. I'd rather take my money elsewhere.

Wow....I thought we had it bad!
Shame really, but at least it didn't spoil your trip...We witnessed kids knocking people over in their rush to the list also....terrible behaviour. It would be nice to think that these are isolated incidents, but I have spoken to several people who have skied Italy, and they all have had similar experiences. Maybe it's just us Brits that are too sensitive? I think not. As I said, Italy for me is firmly at the bottom of my ski destination list....I would rather spend my hard-earned elsewhere thanks very much! |

Seriously Whickers...?
Rude, ignorant, disrespectful, pushing in, barging past, interrupting, inconsiderate, obnoxious. All on-piste and in-public traits. However I found the professional Italians such as hotel/waiting staff, shopkeepers etc to be totally the opposite it should be noted! Looks like nothing gets in the way of an Italian on holiday....fun, fun, fun! (Just for them) Seriously, it would have to be a REALLY good deal to get me skiing in Italy again. My wife nearly got in a FIGHT in Bardonnecchia, can you believe that? |
