We have just one room remaining at Chalet L'Etoile des Vents in Morzine for the week of 20th December and are offering a 'no nonsense' price for anyone wanting to ski Christmas without paying the usual over-inflated prices. Large room with double and bunks so could take a family or a few adults. £400 per person catered for the week and short breaks possible too.

Both Avoriaz and Flaine are very snow sure. If they had problems in January it would signal a very poor season accross the Alps. I am based in Morzine and generally head to Avoriaz most days. Conditions are normally great from early December until end of April, and it is at the heart of a vast ski area. According to the Daily Mail Ski & Snowboard Magazine, Avoriaz was the snowiest resort in France last year. Have skied Flaine a lot too and would recommend to anyone.Stop worrying and get your holiday booked, you won't go far wrong woth either of these resorts!

We have one room left at Chalet L'Etoile des Vents in Morzine for the Christmas week and will gladly let you have it with no single supplement. We are offering a sensible price for the Xmas week with minimal fuss other than a turkey dinner on the 25th... It's all about the skiing! To date we have a group of 4 and another single traveller booked in - all adults.

Chalet Rossin is a new slopeside apartment in Les Gets, Portes du Soleil and is being offered on a catered or self-catered basis for the forthcoming winter season.

3 ensuite bedrooms and a bunk room for children, sleeping up to 8 in total. On the edge of a gentle blue piste, 2 bars within 100m, a drag lift within 20m of the back door, flat screen TV, open plan kitchen, WiFi internet, underfloor heating, ski hire shop next door... the list is endless. This place ticks all the boxes and we will discount 5% from the advertised prices for anyone quoting 'J2Ski'

If the children are young enough to take a week out of school try avoiding the half term week. You will get a better price and avoid all the crazy queues that go with school holidays.

The snow is excellent in the upper parts of the Portes du Soleil and skiing is set to run into May this year.
