I think one way to progress this one would be mention that this is being discussed on a prominent ski forum (j2ski) and the outcome of letter to MD will be followed on forum

On the issue of Crystal I would send a registered letter marked private and confidential and for the personal atenttion of the MD of Crystal. Best to get his/her name first from the company website or a phonecall to HO.

Has anyone recently used Ryanair for their ski-ing break, wondering if they check ski bags to see if normal luggage (clothes etc) is in the ski bag, in addition to skis, boots, poles

If you have a car, save some money by not staying in the resort, stay within 15-20k, which is a 15-20min drive. Hotels will be a lot cheaper. Ideally stay within striking distance of Sauze and 1 other resort which is covered on the lift pass. ( I think Montengevre and Sestiere)
With its regular British/Irish clientele , Sauze hotels and self catering accom will be only too aware of the mid term and may have prices to match, smaller satelitte towns may not . Not sure what the parking is like in Sauze, both easy enuf parking in Jovenceux, chairlift from there to Sportina/Sauze |

My tip
Even if you find your hands geting warm, dont ski without gloves, snow is quiet abrasive if you fall. Apparently a lotta of stains occur when people try to fight the fall, so if u are falling just fall and dont resist it Long transfer to Andorra, bring a neck cushion, try to sit in the middle of coach, less chance of being travel sick In Arinsal u get a gondala from village to ski area, its a good idea to rent a lockable ski locker (tour operators do em) at the top of gondola. :Leave your ski up there, if memory serves me correctly you can leave your boots in the boot room up there, The rep on your bus from airport may have info on this, less carrying skis, boots Q for gondala can be long 1st thing in AM, Theres a free ski bus to bring skiers from hotels to Gondala, if it busy dont get off at Gondala stop, the bus will continue on approx 500m to princessa Park hotel, theres an old wooden 2 man char lift which is seldom used and no q's. It is exposed so wrap up. Lunch best in village , use Gondala to get to village for lunch Finally, ski in Pal, linked by lift, beautiful |

Have a pair of Ski Boots Salomon perfecta thermcfit which are 26.5.
Sometimes my heel lifts approx 1cm in boots when I ski. Is this a problem or is this normal. What effect does this have on my sking. I am a male intermediate 5,10 approx 11st 6 Went to Great Outdoors Dublin and they measured my left foot as 26 and right as 26-27. They mentioned that the 26.5 is wider than a 26. The bootfitter mentioned that I have slim "low volume" feet and a 26 would be my ideal size. As I have the boots a few years would be perpared to buy a new pair. If I change my boots are there certain makes, I should look out for with my slim feet One thing we tried was "Superfeet" insoles, which did improve things. These cause about €45 euro to fit. Am I better off changing my boots or going with the insoles Thanks Folks |
