I've only heard great things about Mayrhofen from friends and having only skiied in France in the past I'd like to try Austria, and it should be cheaper than a lot of the French resorts, and certainly cheaper than Switzerland. Interesting about the car - what's the public transport like do you know? I'm not a very advanced skiier though. |

I'm looking to do Dec 2012/April 2013 season in Mayrhofen and want to find part time work or full time bar work once I'm there, as I'll have an income of around £500-700 pm from renting out my flat in London while I'm gone. I'm going on my own and would love to find like-minded people to share accommodation with. Anyone who has found accommodation and needs an extra roomie - send me a message! Anyone who is in the same boat and would like to search for something together, get in touch, so far I've found it pretty hard to suss out how to find a bed/room to rent with others in Mayrhofen. Bit about me: I'm 24, female, mostly piste skier, biology graduate, been working in publishing for 8 months and dying to leave the office life. I will be working scuba diving and doing scientific research on coral reefs in Mexico from end of July to end of September and want to be doing a ski season in the winter, I'll be going out alone. I'm social and easy to get on with, love music, enjoy going out, very clean and tidy. |
