Two lifts to get you up the mountain, expensive ski hire, lift passes, accomodation in resort, travel to and from resort long winded if you choose to stay in one of the villages approaching ski area, very different an experience for a weekend but thats about it !!!!

There is another route which bypasses Reims as well this is slightly quicker as there are a number of tolls through Reims, avoid Paris at all costs

You can get the train to Cluses than local buses to Samoens, Morillon, Flaine, Les Carroz all Grand Massif or Les Gets, Morzine and Avoriaz
