Went for a run last night got back fine and was running up the stairs to my apartment when suddenly got a really bad pain in my heel.

Ended up in A+E and i have a chipped bone!

Anyone know how long it takes to recover, was hoping to go skiing third week in March
We ha a Opel Zefira with 4 people, it was just about big enough for four people with luggage ad be comfortable.

I never ever once had to pay for winter tyres, I always email before booking pointing out winter tyres are required and are they standard I have always been told yes.

I have given up on Scotland, whenever I go it is either closed due to wind or the roads are close due to snow.
Oh just fold it up, it fit in most cars :)

Hire a roof rack for the board cheaper then hiring a larger car - that is assuming boards fit on roof racks.
Kids and Queues?

I think it depends where you go in Austria and Finland every one queued, in Italy it depends where you go, some places everyone queues politely in others they just barge in, Livingo is one of the worst I have ever been to as well as Zakopane in Poland

I proposed to take my nine year old niece skiing which has been vetoed by my sister.

Now talking to people a big thing was made about wanting to take her outside the UK and that if something were to happen to me she would be on her own

i have emailed a couple of holiday firms asking what would happen, one said they have a team of child specialist who would take care of any problems, but said it is a very extreme situation and in their view unlikely to happen, the other said that such accidents are very rare.

Rang up an insurance company who told me that minor injuries are fairly common in ski resorts major accidents are very rare and are far more common in beach resorts.

However out of interest just wondered if anyone here knows what the process is if I or my niece were to sustained major injuries.

I was going to book through one of the large ski specialist travel agents.

Many thanks

Julie
