If anyone else is venturing to PDS and wants to meet up for a ski/beer we'll be based in Morzine 20th-23rd March. It'd be nice to put a face to a name for a change.

Coach transfer, car hire at airport or train transfer? It makes a lot of difference as to what's available to you.
Insurance ( lack )

Totally agree, crazy to ignore holiday insurance. My partner broke his back boarding in Sweden, with insurance and EHIC card it cost us approx £15 which is what Swedens own citizens pay, I dread to think what the cost would have run to without, no doubt I'd need to remortgage!

Nice report. We are taking my god son for his first ever ski holiday next month. Really looking forward to the trip. We've been to Sweden/Norway but never Finland, sounds like we made the right choice.

Buff has always been enough for me in Sweden. If the wind is really biting a smear of Vaseline or lip balm on exposed nose tip /cheekbones is a good shout.

Dobby, Are Swedens ski routes are generally very gentle paths linking the different areas, they mainly overlook the lake, I enjoy the views almost as much as the skiing. It's quite possibly my favourite resort, friendly, few if any queues and several distinctly different areas, their snow is getting better daily now, hope you have a great time. If you like real ale/craft beer be sure to look out for Parkvillan when you get off slope.

Sauze is lovely and wifey should find plenty to occupy her, but the town is on a hill and involves a lot of walking from coach park to hotel to trains, plus its not the best place if she wants to meet you on mountain for lunch.
