I would recommend the Post Office, made a claim for a cycle accident that involved a hospital visit in Spain, didn't have to pay the excess as it was just medical. Then claimed again to cancel a further cycle holiday that was booked and couldn't go on due to the injury, had to pay the excess but it was all sorted really quickly. Would add that at renewal it was cheaper to get 2 separate policies rather than a joint one

Chalet company recommendations

I am looking to go away over the Christmas period and wonder if anyone can recommend a good chalet company to go with. I have used Ski Beat on several occasions and love them but the thought of a potential 6+ hour bus transfer (endured in 2023) is putting me off.
Not too fussy on country/resort though high up with snow would be good. Any suggestions great appreciated. |

No problem, or just hire a car then you can go over to Montgenevre (2 visits allowed on your ski pass) if the snow is not great in sauze as it is often better over there. Love Sauze, we go every year but do love Montgenevre as well, have a fab time.

Try sauzeonline.com or we have used Magno Taxis 0039 338 4058681 to go over to Montgenèvre which have been booked for us by the hotel whilst there but I'm sure they do airport runs as well.

Hello,
Could anyone give me the pros and cons of staying in the above, it will be in the next couple of weeks. I can't decide which one to choose! We are a couple of strong intermediate skiers and will be in a catered chalet but do enjoy a bit of apres. Any pointers would be great, thank you. |

We always get our skis from Paolo Chalp at the bottom of the Clotes lift as you can store them there so you don't have to trudge them up and down the hill. I am pretty sure the TO's don't use him though but the majority of the ski hire shops are family run and are pretty good in Sauze.

We always go to Paolo here http://www.paolochalp.com/en/
If you book via James at Sauze Online this is also the shop he uses. Not sure how prices compare by using James or going direct as we always go direct. The shop is right next to the Clotes lift and for a fee you can leave skis/boots there overnight so you don't have to trudge back to your hotel with all your kit. |
