This may help you
http://www.skis.com/docs/size-chart-ski-boots/ Scroll down near the bottom. I guess this is so that you can get the correct size of bindings? Bindings usually have a good range for fitting boots.Think of all the different sizes that rental skis have to fit. |

Well, I am going to be wearing a helmet this year for the fist time.
I fall into the over 55, experienced skier group and have not thought about wearing a helmet until recently. Although I always ski in control and am often skiing with those less experienced, I am aware that I have absolutely no control over the other users of the mountain. Personally I feel a lot safer doing some "technical skiing" off-piste than on a run near a lift where skiers tend to gather to chat etc. I am sure I am not alone in having seen collisions between stationary skiers and those arriving at a lift way too fast for their abilities. |

You are right. I should have started this reply with: "After completing the survey posted by the originator of this thread..." otherwise it does seem slightly odd. Sorry for the confusion. |

Like... a ski boot dryer that dries boots in under two hours. Unless you want to hear the story about me skiing in breakable crust, flat out, when suddenly...but you've probably heard that one before. |

What kind of boots you have will also make a difference.
(I assume you have your own boots). Stiff boots and soft skis are one thing but soft boots and stiff skis would be a workout. |

I liked the question about drying boots in under two hours.
Personally, at the end of the day I put my boots on a shelf in a nice warm (but not too warm)room and pick them up in the morning dry and ready to go. There are better things to do than work at drying your boots, eating, drinking and telling tall tales spring to mind. Perhaps a ski shop might need something like this? |

You need to check exactly what kind of ski in/ski out is being offered. If the chalet is on a stiff blue run, you won't be able to ski it anyway for a few days and the chalet itself may be miles away from where you are having lessons. Its not necessarily a good thing for beginners. |
