Thanks for the detailed reply as usual! (and the humerous story too :) )

They have been out there for a week and will not be staying there any longer! The pipe insulation is a good idea, was trying to think of something like that.
Livigno...to ski or not to ski?

Went last march goin again next march. Really enjoyed it.

Plenty of beginner slopes.
Long long wide blues.
Plenty of reds ideal for blue run folk to move up a level and more reds to warm youself up for the blacks.
Some black on both sides of the valley cant really see experienced black slope skiers having any trouble.
Snowpark including a halfpipe.
Didnt explore any off piste last time so dunno about that.

A free bus service to make the change from one mountain side to the other. Great bars and food. Stayed in the town on the Carosello side of the valley although there are hotels on the opposite side a little out of town. All but one lift (lift 6) are great, no T-bars. Great views. Know someone who has been going there for 8+ years he loves it so much.

Transfer can be quite long if you dont fly to innsbruck.

Would be useful for you to find someone who has been to sella ronda aswell to give the best comparison.
Wall Mounting Ski Storage

Currently my skis are in their bag and in the garage. Temps and humidity are ok, but other people keep moving them without care and occasionally piling other stuff on top! Grr.

I would like to store my skis, wall mounted horizontally. Preferably with ski base to wall or at an angle so ski design can be seen.

Is there any long term affects of storing skis like this? Would it damage edges if left untouched for too long and on a poor mount? Should I just settle for bases flat?

Any opinions are welcome.

Carve more skid less.
Stop killing my speed between turns.
Improve technique so don't use as much energy & sweat buckets and steam my goggles/glasses up. (see above)
A little off-piste/powder. Jumps!
Break in new boots.
the hundred or so uses of ski poles

Why didnt anyone else think of 100 :)
Thanks. Been looking at loads of (online) videos an most of them end up with poor comments about old or just plain poor demonstrations. Are the warren smith dvds agreed to be a really good source of uptodate instructional material? Are there any others I should know about? :)

I can get myself down the blacks but with all the grace of a brussel sprout and using 10 times more energy than I should. Good videos can point out some of the things i was never taught or have never heard about before. What else am I gonna do before i get my skis back on after xmas eh!
