yeh , didn`t word that very well . looks like a lot of snow forecast for sat/sun . so there will probably be quite a bit of snow in the resort . so waterproof boot would be a good idea.

what do you mean by the valley . if you mean the zillatal valley as a whole then load. if you mean mayrhofen village i wouldn`t worry. there is only one run down to the village off the ahorn . all other runs finish at the top of the gondala where there is over a metre of snow at the moment. im heading there on sat and snow will be plentyfull. i think there is quite a bit forecast next weekend so should be good powder on sunday.

staying in mayrhofen in 3 weeks and in the past have used the train/bus to get to zell then skied/boarded over to gerlos. this year we would like to go a bit further over to plattenkogel and make are way back on piste. i know there is a bus there but it takes an hour. there are 5 of us , so i wondered how much a taxi/mini bus would be . anyone done this who has an idea of the price?

the yeti bar at the bottom of the horberg lift is good at the end of the day and easy to get the bus back to your hotel .
