Already done, It was ebay, the sell has 6000+ sales w/100% rating so I think they'll take care of me, just checking for alternatives in case they don't.

Thanks,
Brad

I got my new skis  :D  , They look great, can't wait to use them. But there is a piece of plastic broken in with the bindings (they were shipped separately) I can see where it looks like it snaps into the front of the binding but I don't know what to call it or if it will work like it is. Anyone know/understand what this part does and how important it is? Hopefully it is an inexpensive-easy to replace part.

Thank you,
Brad

Just wondering what "J2" means in J2Ski? Didn't see anything about it in the "About J2Ski" Section.

think thy were £30?? I find the maxx very good for the peripheral bits, goggles, gloves etc etc

Rock on!!!

I also got some Spyder on Ebay, 2 pair pants and 2 pr jackets, VERY nice. I really think they are actual "Spyder", I paid $200 total including shipping. Looking on line I think it was about $1000-$1200 worth of clothes (maybe more). I think they were factory seconds or something, 1 is missing part of one of the Spyder logos another has a bad stitch but you have to look hard to find the flaws. Here http://picasaweb.google.com/brad1138/Skiing# are pictures of one of the jackets, the other is black/gray/white.

Things have changed a lot, however, I'm not in agreement with having feet shoulder width apart. More like hip width. Imagine someone holding you up so that your legs hang loose from your hip joints. That wide. Wider is for downhill racers

The more I think about it and remember, I was always more comfortable with my skis about that width apart anyway.

I don't think it is going to be that hard. Everybody says that new skis are a lot easier to ski on. After a few days (if not a few hours) I think I will adjust to the new skis and the feel for how to use them will probably come somewhat naturally.

But if not, I will take a lesson or 2.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OzYQwH4rG4&NR=1 I was just watching ski vids on Youtube and came across this, is he correct about not having skis close together? Maybe he just means for beginners? If he is correct, things sure have changed a lot in the last 10 years.

Where do you plan to go skiing?

I have purchased a seasons pass to "White Pass" In Washington State, I will be skiing there mostly. After a couple years years I will start hitting other local areas but I think I will keep buying a WP season pass for the foreseeable future (Only $309 this year when bought b4 May 31).

No disrespect, but things have changed a lot in the last few years. You might need an update yourself.

I realize that. I plan on skiing at least 4-5 times before starting to teach my oldest. I figure that will be enough time to get used to the new skis etc... If I feel I need a lesson myself I'll probably take one but I was a very good skier in the past. During lessons I took while in high school I was in the top class, my instructor told me I could probably be an instructor, never followed that up though.

Thanks,
Brad
