Was it one of those black ones?

Thet are my nemisis. One of those little blighters jumped out in front of me when I was in Whistler. If I hadn't managed to jump over him I would have skewered him and we would both have gone sideways down a 15ft drop.
Goggles or Sun Glasses

I personally tend to ski the majority of the time in goggles and only on the sunniest of spring days do I don the glasses.

There isn't a perfect lens for all occasions and I have my doubts as to whether the orange lens makes that much difference in flat light conditions.

Since it'll be your first time I would suggest you get goggles. Make sure they are UV protective and double-lensed (helps prevent steaming up.

It is the very one Mr _H.

I was going to hold out for something else too but then I had that terrible feeling that if I didn't get it I'd miss out as the stock isn't so good this year (apart from the ACG jacket of course).
I bought a Nike ACG jacket in TK Maxx this weekend for £59.99 (reduced from £140.00)

Really good, slim-lined jacket with plenty of pockets, decent snow skirt, ipod pocket that is acessable from the outside, a hood that fits over my helmet, and most importantly it is really warm.

Huzzah!
