From what I've heard and read, st. Anton isn't at all suitable for total beginners.

Which resorts/areas in Europe would you recommend for a first time learn to snowboard holiday ?
We are looking for a resort which is good for beginners and isn't too expensive.

How many hours of lessons (private lessons or in a group) are usually sufficient to start snowboarding independently, for a beginner ?
I know it is individual, but would like to get an idea of the average amount of lessons usually required.

Is Andorra as expensive as the resorts in France, Italy, or Austria ?
When are the resorts/lifts opening in Andorra and which resort/area would you recommend for snowboard beginners ?
Any recommendations on instructors/schools/accomodation ?
