hi me and my family have just done ski lessons at our local xscape centre its a indoor snow place and we found if you can take lessons first thing in the morning and you will find you usually get a 1 on 1 with the instuctor and now its low sesson so its the best time to do it. i was hopless when i 1st started the instuctor said i looked like a windmill going down the slope .. i had a few falls but great fun all the same have a laugh and take it step by step the lessongs cost $24 for a hour each then a 10%discount on next lesson, hope you have fun ...get to tk max for your gear as they sell quality stuff at good price or go into the net and buy it at good prices while the summer sales are one but dont worry about the botts just now hope this helps ..from a beginer :)

Hi Everyone
this is my first forum and i need some advice . we are a family of total beginers and we have taken lessons at the local xcape centre and after a load of hard work and falls we have now managed to reach the standard of being let lose alone.. I bought my partner a nice pair of ski boots at ellis binghams as a reward due to her feet hurting with the hire boots, and feeling cold. :( Due to us going to lapland ..levi and have heard it was cold the girl in the shop said we should buy my girlfriend them smartwool phd ski socks at £18 and have a set of sole liners put in that will mould into her foot shape but they are £60 ..do you think she needs those things as she has to wear the boots for 15hours untill she get used to them now she says her feet go numb while she does her ironing with them on any thoughts on the matter...ps sorry its such a long mail... :) |
