We used Chamvan in February and they were spot on. Because there was 5 of us we paid a few euros extra and got a van to ourselves which meant more space and not having to leave as early for our return journey.

Sounds like there are few people with good knowledge of Chamonix on this discussion. We're too going to Chamonix in a couple of weeks and are right on top of the Plan Praz gondola. We're a couple of intermediate skiers who just like cruising around. Any ideas of what we can expect from the Brevent and Flegere area.

Hi all,
I've managed to pursuade my mother in law to come away with us skiing in order to look after our 1 year old daughter whilst we're out on the slopes. She agreed on the understanding that I can find us somewhere to go that has plenty of shops, a pool or local public pool to take the little one swimming, and a good area near our accommadation to play in the snow. The problem I have is that I have only ever skiied in europe once and really have no idea of where to go. I hope you may be able to help. Thanks in advance. |

We went skiing to Killington in march a couple of years ago and the end of season sales were fantastic. I'd definitely hang on.

Hi Chrissy.
Can't comment on the hotels you mentioned but we stayed at the Compagnoni last year and it was spot on. The guy on reception Marco was really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us all the time we were there. It's a 3-5 minute walk to the Cretaz lift and you can ski back to within 15 metres of the front door. If you look on trip advisor you'll see it has good reviews and they even proudly have a trip advisor type certificate on display in reception showing their scores. Hope this helps. |
