I am looking to buy a new start up board and binding and I was wondering what your thoughts were on the make Raven. I came across two that are cheap and come with bindings.

I cant seem to find much information about the brand. Can anyone help please?

I dont want to spend too much money as I will only use it about a week or 7 days a year.

I know they are probably cheap and nasty but I am only starting out as I am thinking on the over all saving from hiring every time I head to Glencoe at the weekend.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I think I am going to wait till the sales at the end of the season and buy. Im in no rush to jump right in just now and buy straight away since I wont be going a ski holiday this year and the snow on Glencoe and Caringorm isnt really up to much just now.

So I will hold off a few months and try pick up a wee bargain if possible at a later date.

Thanks again.
Hi thanks for the reply. I'll look into what u have suggested.

I stay in Ayr. I usually jump in the car any chance I get and go where ever the best conditions are for the day. I was at Glencoe on Sunday there and got a bit wet. Hence the reason I want to get my skis sorted before I return for another day :)
Hi guys,
I'm looking to buy a second hand set of twin tip all mountain skis this year. Something I can rip up the pistes as well as going off in the powder without any problems.

I nearly bought these ones on eBay. ( item number 130625321339) but ended up missing the end time by a couple of minutes.

I am 6'1 and weigh about 13.5 stone and I would say I'm a good skier.

Can anyone suggest what I should buy?

Wasn't planning on buying new as I will be using them in Scotland pretty much all the time so no doubt the base of them will get scratched and battered with the current conditions.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks all.

I usually make a decision the night before traveling up there. It can be a hit or a miss to be honest.

Hi all,

Just a quick question, I'm planning on buying my dad so new ski poles because i think they're a bit past it.

But sure what size to buy. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. He's about 6foot 1.
Hi all,

I can't wait to jump in my car and hit the slopes again like I did 4 times in the first week of the year when I had the chance :D :D

After looking at the weather reports and the current conditions its all a little bit depressing :(

When can we expect things to pick up?

Thanks Graeme
