Some photos:

Our cabin (snow starting to fall 1 hour after arrival)

Our cabin the next day

Wow: The area looks really pretty, even if at a lower altitude.

I must have had quite a funny facial expression change from viewing the 1st photo of the cabin (and already imagining how unpleasant it must be to walk in ski boots on bare, and possibly even muddy ground, especially if one might have white boots like I do), and then, ... switching to the next photo of the cabin, and seeing the entire place covered in an immaculate white, fluffy blanket! It must have felt like such a gift to see that changing under your eyes!!! Almost like you've custom-ordered the fresh snow as part of your holiday package!!!

Anyway, I am very glad to hear that you had a good time, and THANKS for the thorough report BB!!!
Let's see: Do I remember how to spell this? is it gelos? or dgelous? ...Oh yeah, I think I got it: It's JEALOUS !!!
Have a great time Spring-skiing in Tignes, Ally! Cannot wait to hear about it when you return!!!

And since you'll be spending "a whole three days" there, we might not even need the ski hosts when we go on our group-trip next January: You can be our guide on the Tignes slopes!
Well, I used to fall a lot too; but in the most recent years I fell only very rarely; (however, I was told that this is not necessarily a sign of skill improvement as much as it is a sign of getting older -- and thus starting to take it easier :) ;)...)

:lol:hmmmm, maybe next time when I'll find it difficult to concentrate at work I should just try sitting on my phone ;)
OKaaaaay,,, so we now we reached page #13 for the January 13th trip... (although after I'll enter my post it might go to #14, and Ally will have to add yet another friendly reminder for any thread-newcomers that we are still looking for more J2Skiers to join us in Tignes in January  )

Anyway, it's good to see so many comments, I enjoy reading them!!! :-)
...it means people are one-way-or-the-other interested to follow this thread: Be it the ones of us who already committed to partake, or others who might have wished to join us (but cannot due to other commitments or timing-restrictions), or others who are just curios how all this will turn out!

---and who knows [super-WINK!]: maybe people who might be googling for MUTZIG in the future will run into this thread and conclude it IS a special type of tea served for British skiers in Tignes/Les Brevieres ;) ;)

I am pleased to announce that I have decided to go on this trip but will need to share a twin room with another person, is that person you?

Brooksy, how about posting a new thread in the "Find a Ski Buddy" forum and ask the same question (providing the link to this thread for details)????

It just crossed my mind that the "Find a Ski Buddy" is one of the forums that always stays "on top", right on the Ski Forum Index list! So there might be a better chance to be noticed by somebody who would be interested. (...By contrast this thread would be found only by people who either have an interest of checking out the "France" forums, or who would scroll down to the bottom on the page to see what were the new threads in the "Latest Ski Chat"...)

Hi Cat

Early days yet & may look into your suggestions further down the line when desperation creeps in :(

Firstly I got to deal with all the PMs from Romania, Russia & Thailand, find it hard to believe that so many women from these countries are dedicated skiers  might have to bump some of these to Icey, apparently he`s good at this sort of thing -)

Hmmm, I hear you!... ... surprised there were no "funny" comments thrown at this from the other guys ...

Wow: Beautiful creature!!!

But don't know if I'd really like to see it on my doorstep...
... and not a ski slope either (although spotting one of these right close to you on a ski slope might be a great incentive for breaking one's own ski speed-record  )
