Where to get my boots from

Pro Feet!

My wife has had innumerable boots but has a high arch meaning she even get her feet on some and used to end the day in tears as groups of us would struggle to extricate her from her footwear. Pro Feet took her really seriously - I think we were there for four hours in the end. Don't go with a make in mind, they just gave us the best solution for her feet - since then two seasons of pure foot joy for Wifey. Totally transformed her ski experience.

Hey All. Thanks for your help - just Booked Chalet L'Ancolie near the Princesse chair lift so a bit out of town but nearer than NDB.

Hi All,

After deciding we're definitely budgeting and not skiing in 2014.....we're skiing in 2014! So, we are on a super tight budget thus have to be slightly more flexible than usual on location etc. We've had good reviews from friends for Megeve so a group of us are looking around the area - I have found a Chalet in Notre-Dame de Bellecombe which ticks all the boxes but I can't find much information on the village so here I am!

1. It says 15 minutes to Megeve, from Notre-Dame de Bellecombe centre is this realistic?
2. Whilst the Diamant ski area seems okay is it easy enough to ski over to Megeve if we wanted to?
3. Any other pros/cons about the place I need to know about?#

Thoughts are that we'll go for 3/4 full days skiing so the Diamant area would keep us occupied for a day or two then we'd want more so could either drive or ski over to Megeve.

Thanks all
Nigel
Hi. I bought some Bolle OTG Modulator Vermillon which I have been wearing over my glasses for the last two years.

These have never once steamed up on me and due to the Modulator lenses are okay in most conditions - bear in mind the 2 seasons I have been I have skied in comparatively good/sunny weather. On the few days where it was serious snow or very flat light I only experienced the issues others in my group had with changing conditions. If you do go down the OTG route try some first as other makes I tried didn't fit as comfortably over my glasses - note if your glasses have big lenses or chunky frames it may be an issue (mine are fairly normal with rectangular lenses).

Basically try before you buy!

Hope that helps.

Les Gets

Hi All!

After deciding absolutely that we weren't going skiing this year we booked a few days in from the 19th yesterday! Can't wait!

We're thinking about Les Gets - what are the conditions like this year? Seems to be enough white stuff but warming up this week with it getting cooler towards the end of next week on the long range forecast.....

Anyone there?

Solden - February/March 2013

Hi All!

We went to Obergurgl this year and had an amazing week at the Edelweiss but frankly we're on a reduced budget in 2013!

As such were looking at Solden and Self Catering Apartments/Chalets for 4 people.

Can anyone recommend an Apartment/Chalet that they have stayed at in the area?

Thought it was worth an ask as well astrawling the web!

thanks in advance
