Thanks to all those that have posted. I guess it'll have to be a pair of Oakleys (assuming they fit OK of course).

Hi,
Can anyone give me any tips on a decent pair of ski sunglasses. I want to spend no more than say £70 and envisage using them for blue sky skiing (got goggles for the rest). I've no idea re lenses or tints or even makes so any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

I,ve just been looking at historical webcam photos for Isola 2000 Jan 2009 & Jan 2008, same week as I'm going 2010. There are 6 cameras covering the main pistes and I swear I can only find half a dozen folk over the whole week period for both years!!
I'm not sure whether I am more excited or scared. It looks like a ghost town!! |

I always thought of myself as a beginner however having skied in Mayrhofen last year and coping fairly well (despite the fitness levels)with the majority of red runs a friend of mine, a "proper skier" reckoned I was more an intermediate than beginner. Still always unsure how to catergorise myself though when I get asked!

Currently sat watching yesterday's Mens downhill from Lake Louise, dreaming of plenty of snow in Isola 6 weeks today!
Gym this afternoon as moving into serious fitness mode for the next six weeks, then maybe xscape at Castleford tonight for an hours skiing! Happy days :D |

Check out www.pistepals.com Never used them but the website seems pretty decent and the planned trips sound fairly cool
