Right folks. Off to finish the packing then to Bristol tomorrow and onwards to the big M Saturday. Be good whilst I'm gone and I'll take a few piccies and tell you all about it when I get back.

Enjoy!! We head off this weekend to Mayrhofen. :D

I used to work at the MoD down the road from S&R and just had to pop in as I drove home at least once a week. |

Spent a bomb at Cabot last time. May have to pop in to the Oakley store. My Half Jackets are getting a bit tired.
We'll be going to Cribbs as well. Shopping down here in deepest Cornwall isn't extensive so we're off to look at stuff for our newly sorted living room. The rabbits will be beyond needing coats, they're tomorrow's lunch |

One more working day if you can call building fires, shelters and skinning rabbits work. Then off to Bristol for the day Friday for a bit of retail therapy. Hotel for the night then off we go. :D

Changed my mind. Had written something I thought was funny but then realised it may not be appropriate.

Am I still missing something here?
Whilst I don't want to deride a new J2skier ' who is trying to learn about the sport and get tips' and I fully support anyone who is new to skiing and the challenges it involves; what exactly qualifies the statements regarding injury prevention & jump technique? Point 6 of the OP - If you do a jump make sure you distribute your weight forward to prevent landing on the tail of the ski which will lead to serious injuries. Simple physics says that is exactly what will happen but as Pablo says, distribute that weight forwards and you will need a gum shield! I seem to remember Anja Paerson doing this in the Whistler Olympic downhill and look what happened. And what does 'The reason I said walking uphill is that when I do it you start from the bottom and have to go back down to go home' mean? |

So far as I know, all the ski schools based in Grindelwald made it compulsory for their instructors to wear them. Only exception was 70+ year old Walter who was a law unto himself and nobody dare argue. |
