Don't worry about beginners, I was a beginner once upon a time in Chamonix and loved it!
Les Houches is a great suggestion with some very pretty skiing in the trees and so good for snowy days/poor light. If you get a blue ski day head up to Le Tour, some lovely high altitude skiing and a mix of green/blue/red with a nice run down to Vallorcine where I think you can get the train back into Cham. Also some good nursery slopes at the bottom of Brevant so the first day should be easy! If you're only there for 3 days I would buy seperate passes as Les Houches is not on the "Le Pass" area and it would be nice to have the flexibility to go where you fancy each day. For the experienced guys you could buy a 3 day "Chamonix Unlimited" pass which gets you everywhere although how about a trip down the Vallee Blanche for the more experienced one day? |

Any experience of these?
http://www.kingkeyser.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=2549 Want a good quality/not too expensive glove that won't fall apart like the last 2 pairs I've bought (admitedly not at this price!). Can't find a UK online stockist but my local shop will do them for £75....worth the cash? |

Brilliant, thanks all!
Trencher....if I'm a Costco member in the UK do you think that translates to the US? I'll have to look! |

Interesting reading guys....I know ColinLambert_1 mentioned it but, roughly, what do you think your per person spend was (flight, accomm, lift pass, ski hire), and are you going self catered or 1/2 board?
