How high are you when this happens? If it's happening at resort level in European ski villages then altitude is unlikely. Different in some of the US resorts which can be considerably higher than the peaks in the Alps.
Is he getting a bit dehydrated travelling, perhaps triggering a migraine? Does the same happen on summer holidays? |

AFIK the apres is pretty good but hellishly expensive. (Make sure you take your duty free allowance) Last time I was in Norway it was over £5 for a beer (5 years ago) and a bottle of spirits was over £40 and that wasn't in a ski resort.
According to my brother who lives in Stavanger it's not as rowdy as it used to be (the youth of Norway finds it cheaper to head for the Alps) because the resort has been actively making it more family friendly - much of the accommodation insist that the person making the booking is over 25 to minimise all lads groups. It's got a long season but isn't up there with the likes of the 3 Valleys or Portes Du Soleil in terms of size. English is widely spoken and people are friendly. |

It's not surprising that they are competitive - if the max they will pay is £200 for luggage!
A lot of over 50's specialists are not that cheap - if motor insurance is anything to go by anyway. |

I like the persimmon lens (I think you can still get that for their sunglasses) and looking on ebay there seem to be a lot of reputable vendors selling ski goggles with these lenses.

How long did it take you to get to that stage on ski's?
I guess you can add on a bit for age & take off a bit for having snow craft. Have you ever skate boarded? |

If all else fails a few minutes with a hair dryer (not too hot) can be useful. Most hotel rooms and ladies have them.
