Any info on the village, the skiing and of course the snow would be welcome. |

Went over Christmas and skied every day.
Lower slopes were open but it was old snow was a bit thin in places. Snow machines were being used on lower slopes. Some of the higher reds and blacks were closed. |

Looking at Tignes for the end of Feb, some of accomodation is a good walk to lifts without factoring in ski boots.
Is there a ski bus system operating in the town ?. Any info on the resort would be welcome. Cheers |

Just had Christmas week in Passo Tonale.
There was a fair covering of older snow and making going on, enough to keep us going for the week. Some of the higher lifts and runs were closed. I believe the lack of snow in other resorts meant there were many more people seeking the snow in Tonale. There were big queues for the lifts mid week onwards and very busy slopes, i would say way over crowded for the size of the resort. The new cable way has opened to a lower village which had no snow also adding to the busy pistes. It was a nice start to the season but i'm looking forward to the real stuff in Tignes in Feb |
