I went there a few years ago and know the perfect solution! However there are many!

The best ski in-out hotel is the Fairmont Tremblant which is literally on the slope!

However running through the centre of the town is a trail ( i say trail is more like a wide path covered with snow) This runs right the way down to a little lift that goes from the bottom of the town to the top. So thus passing many hotels on the way, such as the marriot, Le Lodge de la Montagne and the Hilton!

So as you can guess ski in-out hotels are in abundance in Tremblant! As has been mentioned it does get cold there but that just makes you work harder to get warm )

I think tremblant would be a good choice! Go there!
I always go before going on holiday as i ski in yearly intervals so is good to get back into the swing of things!

I have broken my left thumb twice though! but the second time i just cought it on the ground wasn't even a fall!
Which ski resort??

Hi

Haven't been to steamboat but hope i can be of some help!

I skiied Winter Park in the 03/04 season. I have also skiied skiied Austria twice italy twice and france since then!

The main difference i found in europe is that generally slopes are longer and there are more of them!

I also noticed in winter park that all black runs were moggled, i don't know whether this is similar in steamboat but i know its different in europe where they are generally pisted!

The other thing i found i was in winter park there was more snow then anywhere in europe i've been too! So you may find snow conditions not as good in europe.

Hope thats some help.
