I'm there from 7th-14th April. I'm intermediate, my wife is an improving beginner. I'd be happy to meet up if you want some company. E - kev.diana@gmail.com
Hi

we're off to St Francois Longchamp on Apr 3rd, so can we have some good weather too please?

Never been to this resort so has anyone got any tips? (ski tips?) I've got a hire car so I'm thinking of buying the Maurienne explorer pass - 5 resorts 5 days 85euro - anyone done this? which are the best places for an improving beginner? Thanks

Hi

we had a poor experience with Skiworld in Dec 09 and have just settled our compensation claim. My advice is to have a figure in mind and persist with them. Only when we started arbitration proceedings via ABTA did they increase their offer. Don't give up, but state your case clearly, tell them this has spoilt your enjoyment of the holiday and that you have photographic evidence ( send link to website). Unfortunately compensation may only be about a third of the holiday cost. I recommend you contact ABTA asap, they will record a complaint against Crystal and write to them, hopefully this will show them you mean business and they will incur costs so are more likely to settle out of court. Good Luck.
If you want any more info on my case email me kev@earlshilton.com. Also the Which? website has some good advice on writing letters of complaint.
Ski Boot Help

Hi

I had exactly the same problem with my Rossignol Salto boots. The solution for me was to place heel packers under the boot lining, raising the heel by about half an inch. An added bonus is it gives a better ski posture.
Les Arcs?

Hi

the only place I ate at 2000 was at 'Chez Eux' cafe by the Lanchettes chairlift. Great chips & Beer, reasonable price. Arc 1950 has more choice for bars and restaurants, 'Les Belles Pintes' is quite lively. If you can get to 1800, you should go to Benji's - very friendly, not rowdy, fantastic steaks.
