thanks for your replies.
I think that when I have been looking I just presummed that the lesssons were only either morning or afternoon. better keep that one to myself and then just play dumb when we get there otherwise i think hubby may have a fit. I am sure we will find some time to ski together. maybe at the end of the week when they have got the hang of it. I had told him that they would be in the lessons in the morning and then we could be together in the afternoon. I just need to get myself fit or I will be lucky if I can manage one slope at this rate. Karen |

hehe
that analagy of a curry really made me giggle too as I am also from Newcastle and yes I often go out in the middle of winter with only a thin strappy top on!! dont ask me why, it is just the "done" thing, you would just look out of place with a top coat on! I am not a lover of Currys though, much rather have a kebab!! |

Hi there
I have contacted the Schischule Wildschönau about lessons for my kids (who will be 8&10). I asked a few questions which they didnt really answer becuase I dont think they are really open anyway and I dont think they really understood my questions. They sent me a word document about the tarifs for the skiscule and for children for 6 days it is138 euro. Now what I cant work out is this all day or is this just half a day and you choose either morning or afternoon? When i asked the question they said "Normal skischool is daily 4 hours from 10-12 and 1.30-3.30 pm.You can book when you arrive." I just think that seems really cheap for a week for 4 hours of skiing? this is what they sent me. do you think it will be the same price for adults and children? and will adults be 2hours inthe morning and 2 hours in afternoon? It threw me because half way down it says alpine half days so not sure what that is. Ski School Rates Winter 2008/09 ALPINE ADULTS and CHILDREN 1 day € 55,-- 2 days € 95,-- 3 days € 118,-- 4 days € 126,-- 5 days € 133,-- 6 days € 138,-- Trial Card - available ONLY for children from 4 - 5 years old € 30,-- Halfday-Trial Card only for children from 4 -5 years old € 20,-- Concessional Continuation Rates can be added to 6,5,4 or 3 day tickets. 1 additional day .............................€ 20,-- 2 additional days.............................€ 35,-- 3 additional days.............................€ 45,-- SNOWBOARD 1 half-day € 40,-- 2 half-days € 70,-- 3 half-days € 95,-- ALPINE-HALFDAYS-LESSONS ½ day € 40,-- 4/2 days € 100,-- 2/2 days € 70,-- 5/2 days € 110,-- 3/2 days € 85,-- 6/2 days € 120,-- PRIVATE LESSONS: one hour for one person € 40,-- each additional person € 15,-- PRIVATE TUITION: for one person for 4 hours € 175,-- each additional person € 40,-- PRIVATE TUITION: for a halfday from 10-12 a.m. for 1 person € 100,-- each additional person € 35,-- PRIVATE TUITION:for a halfday from 1.30-3.30 p.m. for 1 person € 85,-- each additional person € 30,-- CHILDREN`S SKI SCHOOL: Instruction and supervision during ski school hours. Forgive me if this has already been done, but with the thread about "Guess where" it gave me an idea.
Like I have said before I hvae only really been skiing to Soll and Scotland so I dont really have much knowledge of what the different slopes and areas are like to compare to. I have loved looking at some of the photos on the thread and thought that it would be a great idea of everyone could share their photos of the slopes in different ski areas for all to see. so, i thought I would sign up for an account on photobucket. It is a free website that you can upload your photos to and you can sort the albums into different ones. I, myself havent got any photos to put in but I have started the album names hoping you will follow suit. I have named them in country and then under the country, the ski area. we could even have a miscellaneous album for photos of people just wanting to share the apres ski. I have only made a couple of folders on just in case this has been thought of before and is on another site. ADMIN: Please delete this post if this is unsuitable. I hope that this post is ok and we can all share our photos (and of course I hope it works as I am new to it lol) I have given it a name of "SKIAREAS" and the password is "SKIING" so everyone should be able to log in and upload their photos and add albums. Once again my apologies if this has already been done. here is the link for the site: http://s337.photobucket.com/albums/n376/skiareas/ Karen |
