Hi went to andorra last year. We originally learnt to ski there years ago and decided to re visit as we got a great deal. This was our first time staying at St Gothard and we thought it was great. Very good value, we were full board are were pleasantly surprised with quality, quantity and variety of food and we like our food!!. You do have to get the bus up to ski lift in the morning if acrrying gear but it s regular so was not a problem and we walked down in the evening. As we had progressed from beginner level we stayed in arinsal of a day and half , did pal another day and a half and then visit arcalis on 2 different days so between all 3 resorts we felt well catered for. It s not as big as the big french resorts but there is a great atmosphere, very quaint village and lovely people and very good apres ski and reasonable priced resort so we have enjoyed it as much as our visits many years ago. The snow is usually good in January so hopefully you ll have plenty :)

Thanks Admin,
I Can only imagine how hard forecasting and I know know how subject to change the weather is. I Was quite alarmed this morning when I saw the changes and just posted to get clarification really. I think your site does a fantastic job and I have been using it for many years now for all sorts of infomation when going skiing and will continue to do so. Thanks Andy for all the infomation I would nt call you an old *** I am very glad to take infomation from someone who seems to have a lot more infomation on the subject than me!! |

Yesterday I received a snow report which indicated a great forcast of snow for the beginning of next week in Arinsal & Pal and as we are travelling over next Sunday the 4th March this brought great excitement for all the family and as temertures were forcast to drop we started packing for this cold snowy weather... I then check the website to day and all the snow forcast has disapperared and the temperatures have risen dramatically. I understand it is very hard to forecast weather and it is subject to change but chaging this dramatically really questions the forcasting ability or source.
Some prople rely on these reports when booking last minute deals and when the information can change so drastically overnight you wonder can it be relied upon.... I am hoping it is an error and that there will be snow and I won t be coming home with a suntan!! |

We Have being to lake Garda with our 11 year old son and all of us loved it. We stayed in the south In Pescheia and did some sailing, biking ans walking and went to gardalans, waterpark and a movie themed adventure park which kept us all highly entertained. We atayed in a campsite (fisrt time ever)in quite a large mobile with decking and BBQ and our son loved the site as it had everything from games room to pools to soccer camps. We really loved the area and found the cost of holiday quite reasonable, and the weather was fab in early june 8)

Hi,
We are off to Morzine in Late Jan and I too have being looking at every thread possible. I did read one last week that had predicted the correct weather for Oct & Nov and it said that Decemeber would be mixed with snow and then a few days warmer weather and then back to colder weather. The Good news is it said Jan and Feb would have cold sunny weather with plenty of snow!! Hopefully it will be right!! But if all fails seeminly it is impossible for there to be no snow in Avoriaz which has had good dumps already so I think we will be ok!!! But Like you we went skiing in 2007 to Andorra and slopes were very poor and we were skiing in our T shirts in Jan!! Rather not Repeat that  |
