Shame on you Tony H. Your initial reply was dismissive, sarcastic & unnecessary.
I have skied Andorra, France, Italy, Austria and West America and I am thinking of going to Bulgaria next year and interested in peoples experiences there. Lighten up Tony H and try and keep things pleasent! |

Thankyou Crazy, I'll give these areas a good look. I have actually been to Arc 2000 a few years back. (And I'm a bit jealous of you right now!)
What about La Plagne? Can you suggest any particular areas on that side? The there are no complete beginners in the group, we're all just getting a bit old and while one or two forget just how old they are a few are not making the progress they may have if they'd started skiing a bit earlier in life! Cheers. CLT |

Hi Crazy
If you don't mind could I pick your brains? I'm looking into finding a resort with some nice long green/blue runs for those who like less of a challenge plus some runs to stretch those more experienced skiers in the group. Having stayed in Les Arc a few years back and been to La Plagne a couple of times the same week I know the area fits the bill. Could you recommend an area to stay please? Somewhere where the nervous skiers could have access to a few nice long green/blue runs that would bring them on without any nasty supprises to knock their confidence or horrendous queues? Ski in/out would be ideal. We are a group of about 16 +/-. Any suggestions would be great! ? |

My first weeks skiing was in Andorra and I'd love to go back ~ nostalgia and all that. I'd make sure I skied the black run back to base, which I bottled out of before.
We spent alot of time in the Aspen ~ is it still there? And yes, I would just love to spend a season somewhere. I have spent five or six months skiing ~ over the last ten years. If I could spend three months skiing continuously (not literaly) I reckon I'd be a brilliant skier! |

Is climate change affecting the way Londoners buy skiing holidays?

You're being picky, Iceman. It was quite easy to figure out the questions which weren't so odd.
I think this student will find that Londoners behaviour is much like the rest of us and that we are more concerned with cost than climate change. Good luck with your assignment, student K, and don't worry about negative comments from this web site. |

I'm a Londoner living in the home counties and my critieria involves:
Suitabiity of skiing area (not size) Cost Height of resort Ease of getting to the slopes(balanced with cost) France seems to be ruled out these days because of cost. I can't understand why in this financial market, where more and more people are cutting down on holidays, the prices aren't more static. This climate change nonsense doesn't figure. |

Cheers Bandit. I'll try and fit this in before my next trip, if not, roll on next winter!
