C&A cheap and adequate but served a purpose my first ski gear came from there in 1975 I am pretty sure it was "Rodeo" at that time I dont think there was much technical gear around so thick t shirt jumper ski jacket and away you went, just to add my very first ski trip was to Zermatt have not been back yet but will do one day

Always found it much easier to light a cigarette on a chair than on a drag !
Left & Right Skis

If you sell your skis after owning them for an odd number of years one edge on each ski will have uneven wear, do you only sell your skis after even number of years !

I am yet to be convinced that it is a good thing to do left and right ski, I was hoping that someone on here could give a justified reason has not happened

I tune my own skis after every trip both edges are the same and even during a trip will give then a quick edge tune but both edges are treated to the same love and affection
Try this have been with this operator as a group then took the better half after telling her how good it was, she will not settle for anything less now

Went to Whistler Jan 2010 group of 12 cost double the budget you have suggested for a five day trip, not cheap by any means and to be totally honest a huge disappointment !
Pole tips / Binding damage.

That is a "badge" of a "pro" those marks on that tail end of the binding! Wear them with pride!

Other indications that you really are a ski pro ?
-cut marks on inside ski trouser leg
-duct tape on thumb od ski gloves
-knots at elastic string for powder jackets
-Left / right marks on skis
-and so on,,,,

Ski on with pride !

Left / right marks on skis, Why ?

I have asked this question a number of times and get different opinions some say you end up with uneven wear on edges, I had skis once that were set right and left, but now its pot luck which foot they go on !
