Nancy is a top tip. There are plenty Novotel / Accor hotels :D .

Roger,
Just check the routeplanner and find an overnight stay somewhere in the middle. A basic accommodation just to sleep. Perhaps something like a F1 Hotel. No need for luxury just a good bed and a shower. But that's just my opinion. Cheerz, Stefan |

What about Les Saisies and the "Espace Diamant" ski area?
185 kilometres of pleasurable skiing between the Beaufortain and the the Arly valley. Ski from resort to resort, from Les Saisies to Hauteluce, Flumet, Crest voland, Notre dame de Bellecombe and Praz sur Arly. The Les Saisies ski area offer: 70 kilometres of slopes for every level of skier, from beginners to advanced. It is known as a familiy resort. Cheerz, Stefan |

Just booked a wintersport chalet in Les Menuires for me and my friends. Now looking for an accommodation for me and my girlfriend. I think about Les Saisies.

I can somewhat agree with Tony_H. My first ski trip was Les Menuires. That was great. Also Val Thorens was fine for me. I went the end of Januari / Beginning Feb. and the snow conditions were fine here.
While others would avoid Val Thorens and Les Menuires I had a great time. I booked a last-minute and the costs were OK, I speak French so no problems with the locals and the snow conditions were fine. Cheerz, Stefan |
