A few years ago we were sat having a quick drink (Sat at a bar), when a snow boarder out out of control hit a skier from behind knocking them over and giving them a serious blow to the head, the skier was confused and dazed, and taken away by the ski patrol.
The skier was doing nothing wrong and skiing within themselves, having witnessed this all my family now wear helmets. The choice is yours and should be just yours. |

Returned from a wonderful weeks skiing, weather was just about perfect :D
Stopped in a wonderful chalet etoile filante (starski chalets) We had a wonderful couple to look after us, and the food was great : :D :D Would really recommend. We were able to choose which lifts they took us to, generally by 9.00am then would pick us up at about 6.00pm (from a bar of course) Most of the runs were really good with a good covering of fresh snow, but as the week went on the lower runs got a bit tired, but if you stayed above 1200m the runs were perfect. We skied into Switzerland for a few days again wonder snow. Hired our skis they were OK from (Doorstep skis), my sons had a good few days off piste with a guide but mainly in the trees. The avalanche risk is still quite high with the rain earlier and warm temps. :!: Will try and post some photos later. |
