I used margreiter in oberau last year.....despite asking and paying for the gold ski and boot package when i returned them at the end of the week i found out that i had been given the silver package! The guy asked who had served me, he didnt seem surprised! i think it was a technician covering for somebody who hadnt showed up that morning, though i must add the guy did refund me the extra cost above the bronze ski package. good customer service for sure.

Ordered my ski hire with skiset last night.
I really fancy trying the fischer progressor 700 or the rossignol zenith z76 aramid basalt TPI2(why the long name?!!)for my week in niederau. Are they going to have these paticular ski's in stock or will they offer me the equivilant HEAD,K2,atomic ski?..i dont want them...i want the fischer or rossignol ski's  All the skiset hire pages for all resorts seem to show these ski's and am thinking they are just a representative type of skis that might be available in any given resort. ????? feeling anxious now :? |

Banff would be my choice. shortish transfer. the town of banff offers lots of interesting restaurants and shops. choice of norquay, sunshine and lakelouise. i know you need to bus to resorts but they have the system pretty much sorted, we never had to wait around much. I enjoyed the bus journey so i could chill and look at the wildlife and scenery on route.
It can get cold but with an extra layer the slopes will be empty and blue skys above and the hot chocolate tastes even better then :) where ever you go in canada you will enjoy all it has to offer. Good luck :) |

I usually just buy them off the rep on the coach transfer to resort. The rep is the easy option but i thought there might be some deal in the resort or order them online over here. I have booked with crystal this year.
I am off to niederau and wondered if anybody might know of a better place to buy them? thanks :D |

I would rather pay an extra £100 or so to ski on pistes that have plenty of snow than save a few quid and worry for 2 months if there will even be enough snow!
As there is just 2 of you, i personally would wait and see where the snow is good and book a couple of weeks before, even if it will cost more money. most people only go once a year, why take the risk...nothing worse than skiing on patchy/muddy pistes! Good luck ! not an easy choice :) |
