Yes the new lift was up and running a couple of seasons ago when I was last there,

It was two seasons since I was last there, and the lift only went up to the first station, it was back on the old wooden chairlift after that to get up to the top. The cable car now goes all the way up.

Was that running like that when you were last there?

I was there March 2010 and it went up to the costaccia restaurant and then if memory serves a chair to the top of the blue run which runs down the line of the chair.

Yes thats right.

I bet many of us have had similar incidents, but better to have a near miss or non-serious incident to influence our choice rather than regret it later when its too late. Wise words Para.

Good for you. Enjoy your helmet. I cant see the need to be ramming it down peoples throats that they shouldnt not wear one, but each to his own eh?
Now, which hats do I take next week.....?????

Blimey, hit a nerve ) I wasn't ramming it down anyones throat (oo-er obv) just making a point that I bought a helmet and it was OK, on the helmet thread!! Have skied 3 years without one but took the plunge this year. I just simply don't understand the argument for not wearing one, even when I didn't wear one.
You stick to your helmet obv, and I'll stick to my woolly hats, thanks. obv

Will do Mr Tetchy. Another forum user who doesn't like other points of view.
