A friend used to work for a company that dealt with insurance claims and repatriation. She said that without doubt the best people for insurance are Marks & Spencer Travel Insurance. This was a unanimous feeling amongst the entire office.
It won't be the cheapest on the market but in terms of extent of cover, flexibility and lack of loop-holes they were second to none. I should say here that I am no way connected to the company so this isn't a sales pitch! Robin |

We have also considered booking at the very last minute, and I know it is often possible to fill gaps in chalets this way, but this obviously won't suit our inflexibility! Robin |

Hello all,
I'm currently having issues with finding cheap accommodation for 2 and wondered if anyone has any advice or experience... We're going to be going out to La Plagne on 30th Jan to visit a friend. She is in Belle Plagne, so although we're on a tight budget we are also quite strict in that we want to be either in Belle Plagne or at least within easy reach. The issue is that so far everything we find wants to sting us for the lack of people in our party! We're looking at supplements of anywhere between £200-£600! Any help greatly appreciated, Robin |

Hello all,
Is it possible to book midweek short ski breaks? I don't have enough money for a whole week's trip but I have a week off next week. All I seem to be able to find are weekend trips which aren't really preferable for me. Ideally I'm looking at going on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and probably for 3 days of skiing. Anyone have any advice? Should I be aiming for more of a DIY approach? But then obvious difficulties with midweek transfer and hotels reluctant to take midweek bookings. I was considering paying for a single domain 3 valleys ski pass as well and then bolting on more explorative days here and there, but if you pay for a 6 day single domain ski pass plus 2 three valleys days you've spent more than you would have done on a 6 day 3 valley pass! I think it's all or nothing.

We're looking for somewhere to stay in Meribel for 4 of us. We're on quite a tight budget so nowhere expensive.
