I know they were kicking back a lot of work visas this year on account of the financial crisis and stating that locals could take the work.....

I've flown with Air Canada on a number of occasions with my skis. I have a salomon soft double ski bag and it has never been an issue. I have also been able to fill it with my ski clothes and they haven't commented on weight or content.

OK lets put you all to the test whilst Henski is awol.
I am planning a short ski break before my main trip to Canada and the necessary details are: 1. Fly from Manchester 2. 3 or 4 nights - needs to include a weekend but don't mind if its leaving midweek or leaving on a weekend (I know some people offer deals for what they classify as midweek breaks) 3. Anytime in the first two weeks of Feb 4. Preferably a short transfer i.e 1.5hrs max 5. Require ski carriage and lift pass but no lessons 6. Two people Cheers people....... GO GO GO GO :D |

Ian, maybe some of us feel the cold a bit more because we are fitter and are more efficient skiers so don't expend as much energy  |

Depending on how cold (or warm) it is depends on what I wear...
-20 or below and humid then I will be wearing my thermals, a t-shirt, shell jacket and then my ski jacket. Its my feet that suffer the most hence the next item on my wish list is heated insoles! |
