Hi guys,
im looking at going on a 3rd skiing holiday on march 18th. money might be a bit tight though! can anyone recommend anywhere where i can get a good deal, preferably half board in a resort with nightlife? cheers! |

spent a day skiing there last week and theres plenty of snow, especially on the runs on the glacier. the lower slopes do need snow but they were still skiiable.

Hi Simon,
just got back from sauze and the ski conditions were not too bad. But on the lower slopes it was getting gritty in a lot of places and the top slopes were getting icy. it was also very warm (the resort temp was 10 degrees upon leaving last night) so you might be in some trouble if they dont recieve anymore snow. we went to les deux alpes for a day - it took 2 hours to get there but the snow was a lot better so that could be an option for you. im going to alpe d'huez in 2 weeks so i too will be hoping for some more snow! |

id recommend alpe d'huez. there should be half a metre of snow falling there between sunday night and thursday!

hi,
i dont think theres any need to worry, looking back over historical snow reports there has always been a good snow depth at the beginning of jan. it only takes one big dump of snow to change the whole ski season and with just under 3 weeks left my money would be on it snowing again. but with that said there are no assurances, the best advice i can give is not to worry about it! - although i realise how hard this is to do! and if the worst comes to the worst there are some fantastic bars in soldeu!! have a great time when you go! |
