What the hell are you talking about

It hasn´t been me but YOU WHO CALLED IT HELL!!

I´m talking about the campain the USA tourism industry has launched through The Corporation for Travel Promotion,(DiscoverAmerica.com) now doing business as Brand USA, created in 2010 to encourage travellers from all over the world to visit the United States of America; Brand USA was established by the Travel Promotion Act.

My point is that enforcing Security shall not be affected by SMILLING TO TOURISTS :) :) :)
Lake Tahoe Vs Manmouth Mountain

I enjoyed the best ever holiday in 2009 at South Lake Tahoe.
I stayed at the Californian side, close to the gondola and minutes stride from the "border" with Nevada(opposite kerb).
We had a voucher allowing us to ski at Heavenly , Kirkwood, Sierra, Squaw Valley through Crystal but you may get the passes at the incumbent resort counter; transport to the resorts are FREE!! except for Kirkwood which was a menial 5$ fare return
Despite the black cloud of Homeland Security I would give USA a go and I´m thinking about late March or even APRIL skiweek.
My first thought is for Deer Valley/Park City Resorts.
Someone mentioned having Salt Lake City as base camp and enjoy as well the Brighton/Alta resorts.
As you see UTAH is my first choice as been to Breck and Vail other times.
What about ASPEN?
I like the service Vail provides that is why I chose Deer Valley.

I wonder if I could end in Europe as Zermatt is good for late skiing. Looking forward for the link between Zermatt and Monterrosa

The trouble is Customs & Immigration tend to forget they are part of the travel & tourism package. Yes they have a job to do but doing it in a surly, reluctant way is bad for tourism. Without the tourist most of them would be unemployed!

To gotama186
I totally agree with andymo12.
It was in Denver where I felt not only UNWELCOMED but FRIGHTENED
I have just sent a comment about the UNWELCOMING reception you suffer by the Homeland security to DISCOVER AMERICA.COM(BRAND USA).
They point to visa procedures after 9/11 as one motive for setting up the campaign but that is not "holding the bull by the horns".
"To serve&protect" is the motto for the Police in USA but the first human face you get in USA is more "TO FRIGHTEN&DETER" TOURISTS AS THEY ARE ALL TERRORIST UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE
VIVA!! :) :)
I do not care about the skipass price.
Anyway those who "opose" to the Superdomain are already giving the answer; the price would act as a deterrent to the masses.
Although I oppose to those Elitists who think on behalf of other people denying access either to progress or pleasure.
I do not like the "keeping typism" just for us to enjoy attitude.
If the mayors are interested is because something good may be achieved for the mountain people.

Thanks for your´s and other answers. :-)
I have already(yesterday pm) booked through Inghams a stay at Hotel Club Le Crêt.
I have read that is covenient to rent through Intersport because it gives you the chance to keep the skis in a locker just at the valley station of the lift.
Seems either quite popular this hotel as 5 months in advance the hotel is now sold up(good TripAdvisor reports). The same could be said about the PdS area as no much Hotels availabe now.
There are lots of apartments(Family oriented??) and not many hotels, let alone ski in/out ones.
We are going for a week from 2nd March and I fear from the French school holidays "beehive" effect ; people poses the main risk on pistes!!.
I hope the snow cover (area and quality) would be good enough because otherwise that would be adding insult to the overpopulated??injury.

Another year of late skiing!. The next travel hopefully in April so if not America-UTAH´s DEER VALLEY has to be again ZERMATT :D or either adventure to 3 VALLEÉS/TIGNES-Vd'Isere/ISGHL. :?:

Any experiences in late seasion at DEER VALLEY,3 VALLEÉS,TIGNES-Vd'Isere or ISGHL?
