Chambery airport. Your experiences?
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 9 Replies
Every time I have flown into or out of chambrey airport, 4 ski holidays, it always seems to delayed. 9 hours going out (having our evening meal at 1.30 am wasn't fun) and 6 hours coming back last time.
I know its position in the mountains means it is more prone to weather/flight delays. We avoided it last year but the 4 hour transfer wasnt pleasant either :(
Has anybody ever been on time going through here? Maybe I was just extremely unlucky :(

Ski helmet with a peak?

Ouch! Ta for the advice, I'm not skiing again until next January so waiting until the deals isn't too much of a bother. Believe it or not I already have a trespass helmet, but was looking for a helmet with a peak/brim to help cut out the light that I find frustrating with my present helmet.
Ski helmet with a peak?

Thank you big Phil, I have since found the key search words to help me look for some helmets. I have probably looked at the anon helmet you suggested and a hundred more! :) I have a good idea of what I like now and am going to wait until the end of the season and get a deal.

Thanks for your suggestion though :)
Ski helmet with a peak?

I am looking for a ski helmet that has a peak, a little like a motox helmet has though not necessarily as big.
I looked in all the shops on a recent ski trip but the best I could see was about an inch. Anybody know of any?

Thanks in advance :)

It is booked with justTravelcover. We are also covered for off piste skiing so long as we are not alone.
Counting down the days now :)

It was the go compare type site I looked at. They have a full list of the pro's of each quote. There was everything from £14.58 and up. We chose a £22 cover which after reading the details of the quote seemed to offer what we needed to cover. So if she does go up on the gondola she should be covered.

Thanks! I have been doing some searching and to be honest there isn't as much difference between the cost of either option as I thought there might be...thank you for your time
