Usually the better you get the harder you will ski and if you had a pair of skies set to for example 6 when you started to ski you will probably need to set the bindings a little bit harder otherwise you could press you boot out of the binding if you ski hard enough... just what happened me with a pair of rental skis. http://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/12550.page
Take your skis to a ski shop and ask them to help you with this... You may also want to test some other skis since you are a much more advanced skier now. Check if there are any ski tests near you in the beginning of next season, can really recommend that to go and test a lot of different skis to check what suits you. |

Åre is really good when the weather is nice but if the winds are strong they often close the High Zone :-( |

I went to Åre with a couple of frends this weekend and we got some nice weather and fresh snow :-)
For some reason the camera didn't record any sound :-( |

Rented a pair of skis this weekend and the store had set up the bindings to loose for me... I'll remember now to check the setting myself :-)

Stuben was nice and not as crowded as St Anton.

I've only been to Whistler and that was really fantastic but that's quite far from Calgary.
We booked one day for heliskiing and were really lucky, it had been snowing for most part of our trip and we didn't see much sun except for the day when we were heliskiing. Got fantastic weather that day. Can really recomend heliskiing and hope you'll have a fantastic trip. We are planing to go back to Whistler in 2014 :-) |
