can I just ask.... I thought CN is really for more adventurous off piste skiers, but is this the case? I would never stray off the edge of the piste (not intentionally anyway!) and I have only ski'd in austria but now I am reading this thread I am wondering if it is a necessary option? (I do have winter sports cover insurance already).

apart from the austrians who treat visiting skiers as ten pins :( |

I too cannot draw or paint (not that I have ever applied myself to either) but it reminded me of the best run I have done in my short skiing life, when I came down the length of the piste with my ski poles held in 'picture frame' position doing beautiful feeling turns, to a well done from my instructor :) Maybe art and skiing are linked. |

Wow! AllyG maybe you should start a side line business? |

Love it. But it reminds me of my second week of skiing when I returned to the hotel and proudly recounted my no-falls day to be told, 'well if you haven't fallen over at least 3 times in a day, you aren't trying hard enough' :( I reckon it was probably sour grapes. |

I don't usually do the sleeps till thing (did I say that before?) but am really appreciating seeing the numbers coming down :) Wish I was going on the J2ski hol, I enjoy a good wibble...
Thanks Ally G |

my friend puts small ice cream tubs over each end of the skis inside the case then pads them with socks etc...
apparently it works |

Does this mean I've been using my skis all wrong?
