Well done for taking on the challenge of being group organiser OA. I know that AllyG spent many hours in previous years trying to "herd the cats" and we are very grateful to both of you.
I am really looking forward to the next trip guys, Alpes D'Huez is one of my favourite resorts and our hotel is right on the piste.
We went over to Sestriere twice from Sauze and took the gondola both times. There does seem to be a way down, certainly to the first station but we couldn't see a way down from there to the village. If Icy says it exists then it must do but we didn't risk it. Most people take the gondola, so there must be a good reason for that. Plenty of excellent skiing in Sestriere when you get there tho :-)
Val Thoren was brilliant and the weather was just perfect. I love that resort, lots of long wide runs. The red back down to Orelle was a killer though at the end of the day, very bumpy and icy in patches just to catch you out. My legs were killing me by the time we got halfway down and no coffee stop until the bottom. Then we had to walk up to the cafe, as the piste stops below it. I really needed a beer!

Just in case you were all getting deja vu, this is the correct thread for the J2Ski trip that has just been to Sauze (take note Bald-eagleman)
Yes, lets get away from Uni exams in 2016 if possible so our son can come with again. He enjoyed it so much last season and is gutted he can't come in January because he has exams.

Apparently copper lined socks never smell!
