Hey guys.
I am looking to ge a cheap week away week commencing 14th Jan. My budget is around £1600 for lift pass, ski hire and boot hire for both me and the Mrs. I have been looking around and found a nice price for Passo Tonale. Has anyone been or know much about this place? We are both intermediate skiers. If you guys know of any other resorts please help with suggestions. Thanks guys. |

John I would definitely recommend La Rosiere.
Someone on this site recommended it to me a few years back and Iv been twice since then. I'm an intermediate skier along with my Mrs and we both love it. There is lots of skiing to be had with mostly wide pistes. La Thuile side is good but both times we have been it seems that is the side that sometimes gets the worse weather. The button lift link is a little long and as said above does sometimes get closed, although I have only seen it closed 3 times in 2 weeks of being there. But regarding getting back from Italy it is easy blues that bring you back so there is know way you would get stuck if the life is closed. Iv crossed there on a real windy day. If you need somewhere to stay in La Rosiere check out the chalet Grand Planica, it has ski in/out and also a swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room. If you book around 3 weeks before you usually get the best price, if it's not already full. Book with Ski Olympic. We have stayed there twice and definitely would go back. But unfortunately I'm getting married next year in May so all the money is going to that :( no skiing for me this season. Also I have 2 videos on YouTube of La Rosiere. Check them out. They were filmed both mid January 2015 and again in 2016. They might help you make a decision. 2016 https://youtu.be/v2syeuRSVZg This is the better one but doesn't play on some devices like mobile phones (thanks to YouTube policys regarding songs...) 2015 https://youtu.be/mRhPFvOCAcM This will play on all device's. Hope this has helped you to decide. |

Need to get mine. Keep forgetting and I go away Sunday never know which is best so normally end up going with more than. iv claimed with them once, it's not ski related but they paid up quick with no problems. So I could only hope they do they same if an injury was to happen.

My coat is white and grey, only went with green cos they where the only ones with enough pockets in the store. So tried em on, they seemed alright and here we are. Me previous ones were black. 8) |
