SwingBeep, I think you are right. Netting or padding would be sensible and neither would affect the ability of the windbreak to act as a windbreak.

Video of Italian police inspecting the windbreaks can be found at:

I must admit that I do not know the area, but I would have thought that some suitable netting could stop unwanted collisions with the windbreaks, while allowing the windbreaks to do their job. Happy to be told otherwise, mind.
I'm always impressed by Admin's knowledge on such things :)
Tignes may be a good option. High so reliable for snow. Some good off piste (though not v reliable at that time of year). Plenty for the beginners and improvers.
Are next March

Hi Lota. We bought our ski star passes in hemsedal, and topped them up when visiting åre. We did do the early bird to get money off passes and skis. Don't know if skistar will send you the passes. You can always email them. Skistar used to do 8 days for the cost of 6 too
Warren Smith v Snoworks

I went on a Snoworks "all terrain" course last Jan in Tignes. I'm not as good a skier as Broom (I'm happy on reds and pisted blacks, struggling on bumps and off piste). I enjoyed the week. The Snoworks approach is not a terribly technical one to the extent that they were not teaching us how to look good. They taught us effective techniques of how to deal with the terrain (ski ugly but effectively, if you like - but that was at my level). A lot of people really like Snoworks and keep going back for more.
