When I ski I don't get thirsty at all. I have a job to remind myself to drink water from the plastic bottle I carry in my back pack. At the end of the Day I realise, by the colour of, well, you know, that I should have been drinking more.
Any insight or handy hints?

The other half wants to buy a bike helmet. We notice that many bike helmets look like ski helmets. Are they the same and can they be used interchangeably?

I've been there three times. It will be good as family destination, but won't challenge a good intermediate skier. Go to Gerardmer too which is smaller, but has some nice tree lined slopes. For accomodation I would stay closer to Gerardmer and avoid La Bresse which is a bit grim.
