A small group of us fervent J2Ski fans are off on our annual ski adventure, this year to Tignes (Val Claret) on the 13th January. The group has been going for several years now and because of size split into two last year. This year our group is a little smaller than usual (8 of us) because of work contraints (down from the 22 last year when we went to La Thuile). We range from low intermediate to quite good, both boarders and skiers and would welcome anyone who like us dislikes the thought of a huge single supp and no one to ski with or talk to.
Basic facts...
Willing to share with same sex person
Like a laugh
Happy to be in the snow all day
Like the odd drink....or 3
We are going with a well known TO from various locations in the UK
Dates: 13th Jan to 20th Jan 2018
Hotel: 4 star Hotel Diva, Val Claret, HB
If you fancy joining us please PM me or leave a note here so one of the others can help. We will endeavour to help to find you a mate. :)
Hi Wanderly and welcome to the forum. I am sure many of the more experienced posters on here will advise you that Bloney is probably not your best choice as it is very small and a very low resort and may suffer poor snow. I note you are flying into Geneva....there are load more suitable areas just a short bus ride away that will be more fun and get you a far better sking "experience". I bet Admin and his mates will be able to give you a far better choice. Watch this topic. :)
The train service for Sauze stops at Oulx at the bottom of the valley. When I went there with my wife several years ago she went to Turin daily catching the local bus down for just a few Euros. Trains are very regular and cheap...I think it was 10 euros return. Both local trains and the TGV stop at Oulx.(dont forget to validate your ticket!! :))
Concur with Daved and Elevabloke. There is even a train, albeit a little infrequent to Courmayeur.

Advice for a Bulgaria Virgin

Umm, dont quite know why you think Adorra is low. Grandvalira is Andorra's biggest ski region and incorporates the resorts of Soldeu el Tarter, Pas de la Casa/Grau Roig, Encamp and Canillo. The area offers 210km of slopes between 1,710-2,640m. That equates well with most of the Alps especially if you consider places like Tignes (1,440–3,747 m) which is considered to be one of the highest. :)
