How long is short? I would fly to Geneva, then a little more than one hour by road will get you to Chamonix or Morzine.
For the first time in 3 winters living near Barcelona I can say it is today really snowing in the city at sea level.

The webcams from the Pyrenees are showing a lot of new snow, 30cm - 50 cm, and for the next few days at least because of the cold air temperatures they should have serious powder at most of the Spanish and Andorran ski areas.

Lucky you if you are due to vist this weekend! :D

Soon it's going to be cheaper to arrange delivery of your gear to the hotel with a courier, someone like DHL!

Just noticed this article in msnbc...

Some areas are not regularly updated on SkiReport.com, especially some smaller European locations, so not that much value?

Formigal eases the biggest pain in skiing!
Started by DaveW in Spain, 16 Replies, discussing Mayrhofen and St. Anton am Arl...
Formigal has rattled the 'locals' with the announcement this week that UK skiers can buy lift passes at 2 x 1 prices for the remainder of the season from their TO's. The comments posted on nevasport.com are along the lines that Formigal is trying to become the Benidorm of the Pyrenees, or that the promotion is 'discriminatory'. All a bit OTT, but I wonder how many Brits would be swayed or tempted, at this point in the season, to ski in Formigal by this offer?
