You sound the same as my mum, when traveling at what i would class as slow she has very good techinic but one she picks up speed it all goes out of the window.
What i have found is that when she is traveling at speed she does not complete her turn fully. What i mean by this is when she finishes her turn the skis are pointing towards the bottom of the slope. instead of across the slope which maintains your speed at a constant pace. Also you would find that on newer skis you will find this easier. i believe that a ski with a larger turn radios has a sharper tern. Skis have progressed so much in the last 10 years that it would probably be worth trying a new ski to see weather that helps. |

my mum is looking to get a new pair of boots and i was wondering where is the best place to go to get your boots fitted correctly.
We don't want to pay over the odds to get them but they need to fit properly unlike the current pair she has got. They were fitted in snow and rock and are a bit like wearing welly's. They have been adjusted so many time i don't think that it will ever fit. we live in Bristol but are willing to travel a fair distance to go somewhere where we can guarantee that the boots are fitted properly. |

There is know real reason for someone to fall over when being taught to ski.
Cant remember the last adult to fall over in one of my lessons. If you learn on the dry slope the first lesson is a lot of work but from there on is quite easy, as was said on an erlia post if they really want to learn to ski they will be able to. i don't see 65 as being to old. |

yes was probably spiked to get money.
We got friendly this the owners of a bar there (they were English)and they say it happens quite a lot. But the police are corrupt so they do nothing to stop it. I don't know why there is still something i like about that place though. If anyone does go to Bulgaria don't go in buzz bar even though that drinks are the cheep. |

I did most of the black runs in Andorra and don't remember any of them being really hard.
As tony said give it a go if you are a compitant skier you will be fine. |

The problem with Bulgaria was that it was a really cheep skiing holiday but the Bulgarians have worked out that the English are going the cuz it is cheep and put the prices up. So now it is around the same price as going somewhere else in Europe that has snow.
I mean i had a nice time in Bulgaria met some lovely skiing friends and the skiing was ok. But i did get spike with ketamin on the the first night all my money stolen off me and a big medical bill does put me off. |

I have always taken mine on easyjet fights and never had a problem with it.
I would not trust them to go in the baggage hold. If i could i would take my skis on the plain with me. |
