Hi, We spent two weeks over xmas and new year in Vaujany and had some great skiing , unfortunatley the tunnel was closed the whole time we were there .
I have seen it on youtube and from the lift to the top when la sarenne was open, how hard is it to ski when it is open? |

Is there a good european breakdown/recovery policy for cars that you could recommend (or avoid) from personal experience? Thanks in advance.

Been there today to get a bit of practice in ready for our trip to ADH. They have installed a new sprinkler sysem which keeps the "snow" mats damp. It is a big improvement in my opinion. 8) Does anybody else go there?

Thanks for the replies. Finished up renewing with D T, they also have an "automatic renewal clause" but you can opt out with an email

We went there xmas 07 with Nielsen and stayed at the Eagle's nest. The skiing was good as was the instruction, accommadation and ski hire kit. Ate out most nights and found the food reasonably priced and perfectly edible (not of French standards, but not French prices).
It is true that there are a large amount of counterfeit goods on sale, but I was in Spain recently and it was worse there. Did not see any "Ladies of the night" but I am reliably informed that they are not confined to Bansko or Bulgaria. It is still probably the cheapest place to go for a ski holiday when you add it all up. There are large que's on the first lift if you get there at the wrong time. We got ther early and once further up the lift que's were small. We would go again if we were looking for that kind of holiday but recently we have found the French Alps more to our taste so go there. |

Hi, My winter sports insurance is up for renewal. I have previosly used "Direct travel insurance" but have got a quote from "Flexicover" which is loads cheaper. Anyone got any experience of them or any better alternative cover providers?

Thanks for that Ian.
We drove to Notre Dame de Bellecombe in 07 and found the driving time to be a fair bit longer than my TomTom reckoned, mainly due to us driving overnight and there being heavy rain and fog too. I have found the toll roads in France to be very good and fast but was thinking of maybe staying overnight somewhere on the way. Any recommendations? |
